Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At Panama Publishing, we aim to provide transparent and fair service policies. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, service adjustments, and refunds are handled for services purchased through our website or via direct agreement.

By purchasing our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all publishing support services, including but not limited to:

  • Writing and editing
  • Formatting and layout
  • Cover and graphic design
  • Publishing consultation
  • Marketing support services

This policy does not apply to:

  • Third-party platform fees (e.g., publishing platforms, ISBN purchases)
  • Payments made directly to external vendors
  • Services that have been fully delivered and approved

3. Cancellation Policy

You may request a cancellation at any time by contacting us:

3.1 Before Work Begins

If you cancel before any work has started, you may be eligible for a refund, minus applicable transaction or processing fees. Work is considered not started if no drafts, edits, planning documentation, or resource allocation has occurred.

3.2 After Work Has Started

If cancellation is requested after work has commenced:

  • Charges will apply for work already completed
  • A prorated refund may be issued for unused service portions
  • Refund calculations are based on documented project progress

Work is considered “started” once any of the following occur:

  • Draft creation
  • Editing or formatting work
  • Design concepts
  • Project planning or consultations logged internally

4. Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis in good faith and depends on service stage, deliverables completed, and contractual scope.

4.1 Services Not Yet Initiated

If no work has begun and cancellation is requested within 7 calendar days of payment:

  • You may receive a refund
  • Transactional or payment processing fees may be deducted
4.2 Services in Progress

If work is underway:

  • Refunds are not automatic
  • Prorated refunds may be issued for incomplete service portions
  • Deductions apply for time, labor, and deliverables already produced

All calculations are made reasonably and transparently.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Completed services delivered as agreed
  • Final deliverables approved by the client
  • No revision requests submitted within the revision window
  • Delays caused by lack of client communication or materials
  • Change of mind after project initiation

6. Revisions vs Refunds

Revisions are part of our standard service process. Refunds are not issued solely due to dissatisfaction if the delivered work aligns with the agreed scope.
